Andrew (Buddy) Jackson Mitchell, Jr.

Andrew (Buddy) Jackson Mitchell, Jr., 67, of Valdosta, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on November 1, 1953 to the late Andrew Jackson Mitchell, Sr. and Jewell Kemp Mitchell. He enjoyed working on lawnmowers and other small projects around the house. He loved fishing and using social media to keep in touch with friends and family. He had worked in maintenance at Chemical Conservation. Mr. Mitchell was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by a brother Anthony (Lesa) Mitchell, of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Kimberly Starling, of Valdosta; a caregiver, Terry Griffin, of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Linda Griffin and Wanda Marie Tison.
