Amy Bridges- Blackledge

December 29, 1975 — January 3, 2011

Amy Bridges –Blackledge, 35, of Lake Park, died suddenly on Monday, January 3, 2011 from injuries received in a tractor accident. Amy was born and grew up in Lee County, graduating from Lee County High School. She attended Darton College and then moved to Valdosta to attend VSU where she graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. Amy was an avid animal lover and loved training horses.

Survivors are her husband, James Blackledge of Dasher, a son, the light of her life, Wyatt Blackledge of Dasher; her parents, Jim and Wynelle Bridges of Leesburg; a sister, Amanda Lee Bridges of Huntington Beach, California, her mother in law, Susan Boyette of Dasher; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Minton will officiate. Burial will follow at Dasher Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to the ASPCA 520 8th Avenue, New York, NY 10018 or online at www.aspca.org.
