Alton A. "Nutty" Blankenship, 69, of Hahira died Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Crestwood Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was an auto mechanic and had lived in Hahira for many years.
Survivors include his son, Timmy Blankenship of Barretts, three grandsons, Darien, Dakota and Cameron, one brother and sister in law, Gene and JoAnn Jones of Hahira, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katie Blankenship and a brother, Johnny Jones.
Graveside services will be held at 3pm, Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com. Martin/ McLane Funeral Home of Hahira.
