ALMA H. PLAYER, 96, of Hahira died Thursday, August 11, 2005 at the Memorial Convalescent Center in Adel. She was born on February 2, 1909 in Hahira to the late Roland G. and Fannie Mae Wetherington Howell and was a lifelong resident of Hahira. Mrs. Player was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Player, three sisters, Nellie Mae Wynn, Emma Register and Myrlee LeGette and one brother, Lester C. Howell.
Graveside services will be held at 11am, Saturday, August 13, 2005 at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira with the Rev. John Hendley officiating. A visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
