Wyolene King

November 12, 1941 — January 21, 2008

Wyolene King, 66, of Valdosta died at her home on Monday, January 21, 2008. Born in Valdosta on November 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Hollis and Iwilda Horton Wheelis. She was a homemaker and a member of Azalea City Church of God. The Choir Eternal has gained a new alto. The Director welcomed her with open arms, having spent considerable time preparing her seat.

Survivors are her husband, Alfred King of Valdosta, sons and daughter in law, Edwin and Meredith King of Columbus, Ohio, Ethan King of Atlanta; grandchildren, Alex, Ian and Micah King of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Agnes Swilley of Valdosta, Grace McBrayer of Tifton, Ira McDaniel of Tifton, Jeannette Culpepper of Lake Park; and a brother, Martin Wheelis of Jacksonville, Florida.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Brett Jarriel, Reverend Raymond Gabbard and Reverend Wayne Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
