Wilma J. Mikell

Wilma J. Mikell, 91, of Laurel Hill, Florida and formerly of Ray City, GA died Saturday, January 25, 2014 Shoal Creek Nursing Home in Crestview, Florida. She was born in Ray City on April 3, 1922 to the late Alvin L. Ray and Vertie Smith Ray. Mrs. Mikell was a member of the New Ramah Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Louise and Bill Burnap of Laurel Hill, Florida, her grandchildren, Valerie Jean Janeway and her husband, Matthew Janeway, James N. Ellis, great grandchildren, Angela Alyward, Michelle Merritt and her husband, Joe Merritt, Sierra Beck, Bryan Rickenbach, two great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlton Z. (Mike) Mikell.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, January 31, 2014 in the chapel of the Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ramah Cemetery in Ray City. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1pm until service time at the funeral home.
