Willie D. Norris

Willie D. Norris, 88 of Greenville, FL, died on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at a local nursing home. Born on August 10, 1916 in Fargo, GA, he was the son of the late, Emmett and Nora Lee Kent Norris. He was a United States Navy World War II veteran and retired security guard for Prinsho Veneer Co. Mr. Norris was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Greenville.

He is survived by cousins, Gerald Norris, Doris Newman, Bertha Day and Frances Norris all of Greenville; two sisters-in-law, Mae Norris of Valdosta, Mildred Norris of Jasper, FL and several nieces, nephews and other cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2005 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Ragans officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Valdosta. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
