William (Willie) L. Myers

William “Willie” L. Myers, 65, lifelong resident of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born on July 6, 1940 in Valdosta he was the son of Johnye Myers and the late Laura Copeland Myers of Valdosta. Mr. Myers was a veteran of the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith. He owned and operated Economy Wrecker Service for over forty years.

Other survivors are his wife, Glenda Gay Myers of Valdosta; daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Robert Stegeman, Amanda and J. R. Roberson, Annell Register all of Valdosta; sons and daughter-in-law, Jason and Lisa Myers of Savannah, Lee Myers of Pinetta, FL; grandchildren, Taylor, Tiffani and Tyler Stegeman, Alexia and Lane Myers, Cody Oretega, Trent and Casey Register, Hannah and Shane Daniels; his parents, Johnye and Betty Baker Myers; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rodney and Brenda Myers of Sarasota, FL, David and Kay Myers of Midway; sister and brother-in-law, Marsha and Phil Clark of Marietta; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Allen and Vicki Gay of Dublin; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Darlene and Tommy Godwin of Reidsville, Bridgett and Stephen Komorowski of Glen Ridge, NJ; a special relative, Curtis Sims and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2006 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dasher Cemetery.
