William Gregory (Greg) White

William Gregory (Greg) White, 54, of Quitman, died on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on August 30, 1967, in Bainbridge, Georgia to William Rodney and Shirley Jean Spooner White. Greg honorably served in the United States Navy and was a concrete dispatcher with Reames Concrete. He was known as a hard-working man who loved his family with all his heart. Greg also loved his Lord and enjoyed studying his Bible daily. He had a fondness for Harley Davidson’s and liked taking care of all the animals that happened to be in his care, especially his bulldog, Sophie. Greg was a member of the Morven Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Hope White of Quitman; three sons and daughters-in-law, William Casey and Amber Jewell White of England, Preston Tanner and Keirriyah White of Valdosta, and Austin Jacob and Harlie Marie White of Tallahassee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Macie and Craig Basson of Morven, and Kali and Lewis Lopez of Quitman; his grandchildren, William Owen White, Waylon Craig Basson, Harper Allison Lopez, Ellie Gray Barnes, and Finley Grace Barnes; his parents, William and Shirley White, and a brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Shawna White, all of Valdosta; his parents-in-law, Clifford and Barbara Broadwell of Quitman; a brother-in-law, Eric Barnes, of Quitman, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for William Gregory (Greg) White will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 ,at the Morven Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Cody and Rev. Jim Pitt officiating.
