Wayne Davis

Wayne Davis, 45, of Valdosta died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on May 9, 1967 in Fitzgerald to Wynona McConnell Davis and the late Clyde Willis Davis. Mr. Davis was a member of the Azalez City Church of God of Prophecy and a member of Kairos Prison Ministry. He worked for American Professional Investigators in Lake Park.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Davis of Valdosta, two daughters, Amanda Chauncey of Douglas, April Nicole Davis of Valdosta, two sons, Elijah Davis and Gabriel Davis, his mother, Wynona Davis all of Valdosta, uncle and aunt, Troy and Joyce McConnell, aunt, Brenda Fletcher and special friends, Roger McFarland and Michael Thacker, a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Davis and a brother, Etheridge Davis.

Graveside services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10am until 12 noon at the funeral home.
