Wanell Mcgill Anderson

Wanell McGill Anderson, 61, of Valdosta, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Langdale Hospice House. She was born October 10, 1950 in Valdosta, a daughter of the late M.C. and Lou Annie Brown McGill.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and is survived by her husband, John Anderson, Jr. of Valdosta; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Donna Anderson of Cecil; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Brett Jenkins of Valdosta; five grandchildren, Tony Anderson, Wes Anderson, Kayla Elswick, Tyler and Taylor Jenkins; six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Parker, Kayden, Ashton, Anzleigh and Kaylee; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Edward and Jolene McGill of Lakeland, FL, Lavern and Vianne McGill of Valdosta, and James McGill of Valdosta; one sister and brother-in-law, Edna and LaRue Bryan of Clyattville; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Anderson; and a brother, Lewis McGill.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Anderson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with her nephew, Rev. Dewey Fountian officiating. Interment will follow at Good Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the services at the funeral home.
