Walter Ray Kelly

Walter Ray Kelly, 83, of Madison, Florida and Clyattville died Saturday, September 18, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Lowndes County on December 22, 1937 to the late Walter Miller and Blanche Zipperer Kelly and was a lifelong resident of Lowndes County and Madison, Florida. Mr. Kelly was retired from Owens Illinois Bag Plant Division and a Baptist. He loved going to the coffee shop, visiting with his friends and reading daily newspapers.
Survivors include his longtime companion and caregivers, Pauline Fender and her two daughters, Debra and Daniel Bass, Oneida Matheny all of Madison, FL; his brother and sister-in-law, Doyle and Gloria Kelly of Lowndes County; a special niece, Dremalyne Kelly and many other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister, Una Rea Lewis and a brother, Charles I. Kelly.
Funeral services will be held at 12pm, Friday, September 24, 2021 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Justus officiating. Burial will follow in the Benevolence Cemetery.
