Vonne Prine

VONNE PRINE, 72, of Valdosta, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born in Statenville on December 26, 1935 to the late Gerald and Cleo Pennington Prine. Mr. Prine was self-employed in the retail sales industry, retiring after 30 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, St. John the Baptist Masonic Lodge and the Senior Citizen Center.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Prine and Greg Prine, five grandchildren, Gary Jr., Chase, Kayla, Caroline and Brooklyn Prine, all of Valdosta, one sister, Dorothy Buchwald of Atlanta, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters.

A service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Michael officiating. Burial will follow at Statenville Cemetery.
