Vivian B. Roberts

Vivian B. Roberts. 96, of Lake Park, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. She was born on October 16, 1923 in Hoquiam, WA to the late Ralph Edward Bray and Ethel Vella Winkleman Bray. She graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1941. Mrs. Roberts worked in Bremerton, WA Naval Shipyard during WWII, where she met her husband Willie Fred Roberts. She was a farmer’s wife, homemaker, and an avid fisherwoman. Mrs. Roberts has been a member of Macedonia Baptist Church since 1944 and served as the church clerk for 40 years. She was a member of Echols County Historical Society. She loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great grands. The great grands called her “Great”. (Which she loved.)
She is survived by her children Larry Roberts, of Statenville, GA, Charlotte Crist, of Onemo, VA, Evelyn Howell (Dave), of Statenville, Bill Roberts (Jean), of Statenville, Judy Walls, of Floresville, TX, and Frank Roberts (Suzanne), of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Becky Stone (Derell), Cherie Hunt, Lori Oliver (Scott), Mindy Bates (Merrill), Dirwin Prine (Shannon), Dallas Turner (Mari), Carson Roberts, Erin DeLoach (Brack), Travis Roberts (Julie), Analiese Hamm (Vince), and Tyler Roberts; twenty four great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren; and daughter in law, Linda Worth. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Fred Roberts, her son Royce Roberts, and grandson Ricky Roberts. Funeral services for Mrs. Roberts will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Boykin officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home.
