Carroll Victoria “Vicki” Baker, 74, of Valdosta died on Wednesday July 1, 2020, at South Georgia Medical Center. Born on December 22, 1945 in Savannah, Georgia, Vicki was the daughter of the late Edward Brown Barrett and Ruenelle Virginia Wall Barrett. Vicky had worked as a paralegal for the law firm of Oliver Maner and Gray LLP. She was a member of the Park Avenue United Methodist Church where she was active in Sunday School and the Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study.
Vicky is survived by her son, Raymond Kelly (Courtney) VanHorn of Valdosta; daughter, Renee (Tony) Morris of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Jeremy Dillon VanHorn of Canton, Haylee Autumn Van Horn, Houston Vanlandingham, Gabbi Buenrostro, Nicolas Buenrostro, Rhiann Desot all of Valdosta, Brooke (Grant) Miles, Briley Wommack, Logan Wommack, Connor Mason all of Hazlehurst; great grandchildren, Leanna Rain Van Horn and Allie Miles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard L. Baker, Jr. and her brother, Raymond Brown Barrett.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at eleven a.m. at Park Avenue United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Reverend David Tart, Reverend Jimmy Towson and Reverend Jamie Bone will officiate. In honor and memory of Vicki’s life, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
