Verdye Mccullers

Verdye McCullers, 97, of Hahira, died Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Parkwood Nursing Home in Snellville, GA. She was born in Lanier County, GA on September 21, 1913 to the late A. B. and Macy Dixon Martin. Mrs. McCullers was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Janice and Bill Jones of Huntsville, AL and Dorothy Hassler of Crossville, TN, two sons and daughters in law, Robbie and Patricia McCullers of Loganville, GA and Ralph and Linda McCullers of Milner, GA, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Mrs. McCullers is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy McCullers and six children, James, Leon, Joyce, Helen, Linda and Randall and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 1:30 p. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Pastor Don Smith of Bethany Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ray City. The family will receive friends from Noon until 1:30 p. m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
