Velma Reynolds Baxley

Velma Joyce Baxley, 90, of Lake Park died on Saturday, January 3, 2020 at Lakehaven Nursing Home following period of declining health. She was born in Sayre, Pennsylvania on February 18, 1929 to the late Charles and Sarah Quick Reynolds. She was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Korean conflict. She was a retired chemist and lab technician and had worked with the Griffin Corporation. She was also a certified EMT. Mrs. Baxley was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by a niece Paula Jane Vann of Kentucky; special friends, Juan Sanchez Chi, Teresa and Jim Bone, Keith Sandlin, Leroy Thompson, Michael Killeen and Tammy Perry. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Charles, Mildred, Harry, Phillip, Ida and Elenore.
A graveside service for Velma Joyce Baxley will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Lake Park Cemetery with Rev. Keith Sandlin officiating.
