Ursula Anna Werner

January 1, 1926 — August 28, 2020

Ms. Ursula Anna Werner was born January 1, 1926 in what was known as Silesia. She served as a Red Cross nurse during World War II, after which she married William Meindl. Soon after they immigrated to the United States where they settled in the Valdosta area. She was a lifelong Catholic and attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Valdosta. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She quietly departed this life while in the hospital on Friday August 28, 2020.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Valdosta on Tuesday September 1, 2020. A viewing will be held from 12-12:30 p.m. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
