Thomas Clifton, Jr.

Thomas Crawford Clifton, Jr., 51, of Hahira, died in an automobile accident on Thursday, September 8, 2011. Born in Valdosta on January 11, 1960, he was a lifetime resident of the area and a self employed transporter. Mr. Clifton was of the Church of God faith.

Survivors are his wife, Sherry Frier Clifton of Hahira; daughters, Courtney and Catherine Clifton of Hahira; son and daughter in law, Thomas Wayne and Danielle Clifton of Hahira; daughter and son in law, Carolyn and Leo Johnson of Quitman; grandchildren, Tiffany and Hank Johnson of Quitman; his mother, Geraldine McLeod Clifton of Valdosta; brothers and sisters in law, David and Mikki Clifton, Jason and Julie Clifton of Valdosta. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas C. Clifton, Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. Bryan Jarvis will officiate. Burial will follow at Dasher Cemetery.
