Thomas C. (Tom) Neely, Jr.

Thomas C. (Tom) Neely, Jr., 72, of Valdosta, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. He was born in Texarkana, Texas to the late Tom and Alice Sue Neely. Mr. Neely served twenty years in the United States Air Force which included several overseas tours to Korea and also served our country in the Vietnam war. He was a hard worker and loved his family very much. Mr. Neely was a very loyal, considerate and compassionate human being. He was a member of Abundant Life Church of God.

Mr. Neely is survived by his wife of thirty four years, Dolly Neely of Valdosta, one daughter and son in law, Sabrina and Jeff Clark of Alpharetta, three grandchildren, Jarrett Neely, Marlana Clark and Kacidee Clark.

A special thanks to his fishing and walking partner and good friend, Tommy Ryan of Valdosta and also a special thanks to his brother in law, Tim Stone, his fishing buddy for many years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2009 at eleven a. m. at the Abundant Life Church of God. Interment will follow in the Sparks Cemetery in Sparks, GA with military honors. The family will receive friends from seven until nine p. m. Friday at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Abundant Life Church of God.
