Thomas Albert Andrew, 89, of Valdosta, formerly of Centerville, MA, died on Thursday, May 31, 2012 after a lengthy illness. He was born June 1, 1923 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, a son of the late Thomas and Mabell Hutchinson Andrew. Mr. Andrew was a B-17 Army pilot in WWII, flying three missions over Germany before being shot down on September 11, 1944 and was a prisoner of war until May of 1945. He retired after 40 years in building supply sales. His favorite pastime was baseball, volunteering 35 years with Little League Baseball in Hyannis, MA.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jean Schoenhart Andrew of Valdosta; a daughter, Cheryl Moore of Valdosta; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Carolyn Andrew of Auburndale, FL; five grandchildren, Jennifer Pierce of Oklahoma City, OK, Andrew Moore and fiancé, Kristin Gill and Emilee Moore all of Valdosta, Katee Andrew and Kristee Andrew both of Auburndale, FL; One great granddaughter, Samantha Rousey of Auburndale, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Scott Andrew; a brother, Jesse Andrew and a sister Hannah Andrew.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2012 in the Chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Russo officiating.
