Terri Shierling

Terri Shierling, 54, of Valdosta, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Valdosta on March 18, 1966 to the late Berl Dean Pulliam and Barbara Jean Lowry Pulliam. Terri graduated from Valdosta High School in 1984 where she was a member of the Marching Cats, she then attended Valdosta State University and graduated in 1988 with degrees in Finance and Accounting. She began working at Georgia Pacific in Brunswick and was there for 9 years, then returned to Valdosta to work at Griffin Chemical Corporation for several years, which later became Dupont Chemical. She retired from Dupont Chemical a year ago due to health concerns. She was active in the Emmaus Community, and was a very active and devoted member of Christ Fellowship Church. Terri enjoyed quilting and other crafts.
Terri is survived by her husband Rick Shierling of Valdosta, her sisters and brothers in law, Julie and Keith Adams, of Moultrie, Sherry and Fred Buescher, of Valdosta, her brothers in law and sisters in law, Doug and Tammy Shierling, of Thomasville, Mike and Lisa Shierling, of Bristol, FL, and Steve and Tami Shierling, of Quitman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Terri was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 7, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Merriman officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Options Now, 214 W.
