Terri Lynn Maddox

Terri Lynn Maddox, 59, of Valdosta, died on Monday, April 6, 2015 at her residence following a sudden illness. She was born on September 24, 1955 in Augusta, Georgia and has been a resident of this area for most of her life. She was a retired educator having taught Special Education in the Lowndes County School system for both Lowndes High School and Hahira Middle School. Terri was an outgoing, social, entertaining lady who had an infectious laugh and loved to make others laugh along with her. She had a giving and charitable spirit who would give her last dollar for someone that was in need. The friendships she made were deep, meaningful and lasting and her family, especially her grandsons, were her heart. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Jon Flowers and her grandsons, Drew and Will Flowers all of Roswell, Georgia; her father and step-mother, James and Barbra Maddox of Valdosta; her sister and brother-in-law, Jamie and Danny Pitts of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Deloris Maddox and her sister, Debbie Davis.

Services for Terri Lynn Maddox will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Mac Weaver and Mr. Martin Register officiating. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund or to Mount Vernon Presbyterian School at 471 Mount Vernon Hwy NE Atlanta, GA. 30328.
