Sarah Helen Fisher

Sarah Helen Fisher, 84, of Valdosta died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the Lakeland Villas Convalescent Center. She was born in Madisonville, Kentucky on May 6, 1927 to the late Walter and Rebecca Mae Moore Mangum and had lived in Valdosta for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samie Franklin Fisher and a son, Steven Fisher.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, LaDonna and Robert Oatis of Valdosta, four grandchildren, Jennifer (Craig) Goepper of Shelby Township, MI., Katie (Eric) Kolisz of Valdosta, Darah (Brandon) LaMond, Camilla Fisher all of Henderson, KY., great grandchildren, Josh, Sam, Rachel and Mary Goepper, Avery, Claire and Ethan Kolisz, David Haire, Autumn Shelton and Paisley LaMond, sister in law, Virginia Fisher and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 11am in the chapel of the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, 2285 Main Street, Madisonville, Kentucky 42431. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Madisonville, KY. The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 10am until service time.
