Sara B. Burroughs

Sara B. Burroughs, 83 of Valdosta, died on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at Crestwood Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Born on December 15, 1922 in Naylor, she was the daughter of the late John and Gladys Moore Barker. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Marie Burroughs of Naylor, Thomas, Jr. and Teresa Burroughs of Douglasville; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; four nephews; one niece and other relatives. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Thomas Burroughs, Sr. and one son, Richard B. Burroughs.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2006 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Hibberts officiating.
