Sandra Kay Roberts

Sandra Kay Roberts, 70, of Valdosta died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 20, 1940 in Durango, Colorado and was a Presbyterian. Mrs. Roberts was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She obtained in Bachelors Degree from the University of Mexico, a Master's Degree in elementary education from Valdosta State University and a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Mrs. Roberts love of teaching showed in her caring of the children and was a dedicated kindergarten teacher for thirty years. She had lived and taught in several states including four years in Guam and retired from the Brooks County Board of Education. Mrs. Roberts loved children, children's toys, gardening, garage sale shopping, traveling and boating.

Survivors include her loving husband of 29 years, Charles H. Roberts of Valdosta, her children, Jason Fink of Albuquerque, NM., Lara Feroni of Seattle, WA., her mother, Genevieve Bloys of Louisville, CO., her sister, Jerelyn Eich of Las Cruces, NM. and a brother, Warren Bloys of Louisville, CO., three grandchildren, Cole Dillingham of Idledale, CO., Zoey Fink and Bailey Fink both of Albuquerque, NM., her stepson, Chuck Roberts, stepdaughter, Vikki Lynn Jenkins and their families of Valdosta.

In accordance with Mrs. Roberts request she will be cremated and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Hospice, 407 Cowart Ave., Valdosta, GA 31602.
