Sandra Jo Cox

Sandra Jo Cox, 73, of Valdosta passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at South GA Medical Center. She was born in Alabama on May 11, 1947 to the late James Roper and Corrine Oliver Davis. Mrs. Cox was a retired manager at A-Z Uniform Shop. She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. Mrs. Cox enjoyed fishing and loved her pets.
She is survived by her husband, Benny Cox, son and daughter in law, Mark and Stephanie Daughtrey, step son, Waylon Cox, step daughter, Traci Shaw, granddaughters, Megan Daughtrey (fiancé Patrick Eason) and Amber Daughtrey, grandson, Hunter Bowles, granddaughter, Logan Bowles and her fiancé, Kevin Hall, great grandson, Ryder Hall and lifelong friend, Rosa Jackson. Mrs. Cox is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence Arnold Daughtrey and sister, Brenda Hopper.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at two p. m. at the graveside at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com. The family will process to the cemetery at 1:30 p. m. Friends may gather at the funeral home or meet at the cemetery.
