Ruth Chambers Stowell

Ruth Chambers Stowell, 73, of Valdosta died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on March 15, 1934 in Valdosta to the late William R. Chambers, Sr. and Alice Cherry Chambers. Mrs. Stowell was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her son, Michael E. Blanton of Valdosta; daughters, Kathy Butts of Valdosta, Martha Stringer of Crawfordville, FL, Pam Brannen of Lake Park and Alice Pierce of Valdosta; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Peggy Ussery of Valdosta; brothers, Frank Chambers of Valdosta, Albert Chambers of Statenville, J.B. Chambers of Annapolis, MD and Harvey Chambers of Buford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Stowell.
