Rose Marie Turner

Rose Marie Turner, 93, of Valdosta, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Lake Haven Nursing Home. She was born on October 9, 1914 in Echols County to the late Remer and Effie Rewis Burch. Mrs. Turner was a homemaker and attended West End Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Willie Mack (Bill) Turner and Runette Van Ausdall Turner of Lake Park, nine grandchildren, Linda Jeanette Fussell, Sherry Gay Lewis, Donnie Turner, Mitchell Moore, Babette Turner, Cindy Turner, Harry Norman Turner, Willie A. (Billy) Turner and Joey Turner and fourteen great grandchildren. Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Alvin Turner, two sons, Jimmy Martin Turner and Harry Norman Turner, one daughter, Betty Marie Moore, one grandson, Gary Turner, one brother, Johnny Burch, two sisters, Essie Cowart and Corine Burch.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 1:30 p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend John Akers and Dr. Skip Van Nus officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Saturday at the funeral home.
