Rosalind Camilla Folsom

Rosalind Camilla Folsom, 78, of Valdosta, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013, at the Fellowship Home.

She was born July 15, 1934 in Lakeland, a daughter of the late Vernon G. and Callie McGowan Sirmans. Mrs. Folsom was employed with the Valdosta City School System for many years. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, loved her family and enjoyed cooking and working in her garden.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Earl E., Jr. and Debbie Folsom of Thomasville; a daughter and son-in-law, Jan E. and Andy C. Narred of Lake Park; four grandchildren, Ashlei and husband Carl Utecht of Valdosta, Kacey Herring of Lake Park, Jordan Herring and fiancé Leslie Zipperer of Lake Park, and Landrie Folsom of Auburn, AL; one great-grandson, Gabriel Utecht of Valdosta; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Jane Sirmans of Cumming; one sister-in-law, Leta Mae Folsom of Brooks County; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Eugene "Gene" Folsom.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013, in the Chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Wayne Robertson and Reverend Bob Willis officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
