Ronald (Tuck) Ellenberg

October 28, 1934 — February 16, 2021

Ronald (Tuck) Ellenberg, 86, of Quitman, died on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Fellowship Home following a period of declining health. He was born in Brooks County, Georgia on October 28, 1934 to the late William and Eula Mae Cooper Ellenberg and has been a lifelong resident of this area. He retired from Valdosta State University as a supervisor in maintenance and groundskeeping department. Tuck loved to work in his yard, go fishing, and above all, he loved having fun and was known for his happy go-lucky personality. A true gentle and kind man, his bright and positive disposition on life touched the lives of others that knew him. In the words of his stepdaughter, Shelia, she states that, “We are forever grateful for how Papa loved our Mom, especially the last few years of her life. His grandchildren adored him and will miss laughing with him.” Mr. Ellenberg was a member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ.
His is survived by his sisters and a brother-in-law, Margaret and James Griffin, and Jeanette Faucette all of Quitman; children and their spouses, Steve and Donna Selph of Hahira, Beverly and Rod Brown of Tifton, Teresa and Bobby Babbitt and Sid and Sandra Howell all of Kennesaw, Shelia and Chris Grubb of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine Selph Ellenberg, and his second wife, Sherolyn Ellenberg; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Rosa Lee Ellenberg; a sister, Betty Cooper; brother-in-law, Fred Faucette.
Services for Ronald (Tuck) Ellenberg will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. John Klimko officiating. The burial will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
