Ronald G.(Ronnie) Cowart, Jr.

Ronald G. (Ronnie) Cowart, Jr., 42, of Memphis, TN and formerly of Hahira, GA, died Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born on November 15, 1965 in Leesburg, FL and had lived in Hahira most of his life. Ronnie was a school teacher with the Shelby County School System in Bartlett, TN.

He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Jo Beth Cowart of Hahira, one brother, Tommy Cowart of Valdosta, his grandmother, Gladys Taylor of Hahira, aunts and uncles, Gwen and Steve Couch, Robert Taylor, Donald and Nancy Hayes all of Hahira and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2008 at eleven a. m. at the Friendship Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Thad Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. He will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Friday at the funeral home.
