Richard Lassie Hendricks

Richard Lassie Hendricks, 73, of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at his home. Born in Titusville, Florida on November 11, 1934, he was the son of the late, Willie Clyde and Irby Storey Hendricks. He was a member of Redland Church of Christ and was a retired electrician from Owens Illinois.

Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Eunie Davis Hendricks of Valdosta; his children, Richard Eric and Linda W. Hendricks, David Bret and Lynette G. Hendricks all of Valdosta, Ralph Chet Hendricks of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Richard Lawton and Dorothy Hendricks and Darlene H. Thrasher of Chattanooga, Tennessee; grandchildren, Santiago and Michelle H. Iturralde, Mike and Erica H. Blalock, Justin Hendricks; great grandchildren, Audrey Blalock, Jaylee Blalock, Isabella Iturralde; mother- in- law and father- in- law, Eloise and Richard Noles of Valdosta; sisters-in-law, Jackie D. Carter and Cheryl N. Lowe of Valdosta; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Sylvia Davis, Pat and Sandra Davis of Valdosta; many dear and much loved nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special nephew, Johnny Hendricks of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. He is also survived by his church family at Redland Church of Christ and many other dear friends.

Mr. Hendricks was preceded in death by a son, Brady P. Lowe and his brothers, Bill, J.N. and Gene Hendricks.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. Bruce Barwick, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Redland Church of Christ Cemetery.
