Reva Elliott Dowling

REVA ELLIOTT DOWLING, 79, of Barney died Monday, June 11, 2007 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Dowling was born on November 27, 1927 in Morven, Georgia to the late James Edward and Willie Alice Joyce Elliott. She was a member of the Campground Methodist Church in Morven and retired from Valdosta Hardware as the bookkeeper. Mrs. Dowling enjoyed her children, grandchildren, flowers and crafts. She had worked at the Pentagon during World War II and was loved by all who met her.

Survivors include son, Frank E. Dowling of Hahira, daughter and son in law, Nancy D. and L. Gordon Rentz of Quitman, daughter, Sara D. Williams of Hahira, son and daughter in law, Tom E. and Wanda Dowling of Morven, her grandchildren and their spouses Amanda and Brian Molnar, Carrie and Kevin Peterson, Gordon, IV and Tammy Rentz, Guy and Julie Rentz, Leslie Anne and Danny Rawlings, Brandon Dowling and Anna Dowling, great grandchildren, Riley Molnar, Jake Molnar and Reese Rentz, sister in law, Colleen Elliott of Barney and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, J. P. Elliott, Horace Elliott and a sister, Rachel Kautzman.

Graveside services will be held at 10am, Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the Campground Cemetery in Morven. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
