Rebecca (Juanita) Tyler Griffin

Rebecca (Juanita) Tyler Griffin, of Valdosta died on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on October 7, 1928 in Hahira to Jessie Wingate Tyler of Valdosta and the late, Joseph R. Tyler and was the widow of David Ray Griffin. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors are daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Tom Wright, Vianne and La Vern McGill all of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Kathy Griffin of Valdosta; six grandchildren, Michelle Wright Feagle, Monica Wright Robinson, David J. Griffin, Jr., Valerie Juanita Taylor, Clint Matthew Griffin, Jessica Annette O’Neal; thirteen great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Oweda and Ed Williams of Valdosta; brother and sisters-in-law, J. R. and Frances Tyler of Lakeland, FL, Rebecca Tyler of Valdosta and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Griffin, grandson, Michael McGill, two brothers, Russell Tyler and Doyster Tyler, Sr. and a sister, Essie Mae Frier.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Gene Wisehart officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira.
