Rebecca (Becky) Snyder Anderson

January 22, 1956 — December 7, 2019

Rebecca (Becky) Snyder Anderson, 63, of Valdosta, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 7, 2019. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence. She was born on January 22, 1956 in Sacramento, California to the late Charles and Catherine Collins Snyder. She was the youngest of four daughters. She attended Richfield High School and McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas. She was a homemaker and loved the Lord Jesus with her whole heart. Mrs. Anderson helped create the Alzheimer’s Caregiver Timeout Program (ACTO) in Valdosta and served as its director for several years. She also worked as Executive Director of the Texas Guardianship Association while in Texas. She loved cruises, animals (especially her bird Charlie and her Pomeranians), scuba diving and Bible studies, but her biggest love was her family.

She is survived by her husband, Lawson (Andy) Wells Anderson of Valdosta, her daughter and fiancé, Catherine Griffith & David Browning, her sons and their wives: Christopher & Michelle Berry, Johnathan & Natalie Griffith, Jesse & Zahra Brown, Shandon & Corrie Anderson, and; her sisters and their husbands: Inez & Bill Russell, Cathleen & Tom Rozell, and Micki Bowman, her grandchildren and spouses: Thomas & Felicity Ford, , Cody & Nichole Ford, Kimberly & Willie Roberson; grandchildren: Jayda & Avery Anderson, Hunter & Alana Griffith, Hudson Brown, Sidney & Austin Berry, Sienna & Quinn Zumbrunnen, Lilli Browning; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel & Reed Ford and dear friend, Phyllis Lettin. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Bill Bowman.

Becky was a loving wife, mom, sister, aunt, friend, grandma and great grandma. She put others above herself, made time to listen and love those who needed it, and made the world a brighter, better place. She will truly be missed by those who were lucky enough to know her. We are comforted that we will see her again in heaven one day.

Mrs. Rebecca Snyder Anderson will be cremated according to her wishes and a family memorial service will be held in Texas. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
