R.C. Sadler

R.C. Sadler, 75, of Valdosta died on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Langdale Hospice House following a short illness. He was born on April 13, 1934 to the late George W. and Emma L. Holland Sadler. He was a retired equipment operator for the Department of Transportation for the State of Georgia and he was a member of the Hahira Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Cindy Sadler of Brooks County; a daughter, Lynn Ellis of Valdosta; six grandchildren and their spouses, Sylvia Sadler, Annabeth Sadler and Melanie Sadler all of Brooks County, Samantha and Adam Keiser, Edwin and Kristine Ellis and R.C. Ellis all of Crystal River, Florida; 3 great-grandchildren, Trinitie Ellis, Trenton Ellis and Gracin Keiser all of Crystal River; two sisters, Mayo Kirschenmann of Pierre, South Dakota and Mavalene Lloyd of Lake Park; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Richard Williams of Valdosta; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leighton and Debbie Sadler of Valdosta, and Russell and Pat Sadler of Adel; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, James and Nellie Sadler; a brother, Allen Sadler; a sister, Inez Sadler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Preston and Florence Sadler, Cater L. and Viola Sadler; a brother, Austin Sadler; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline and Colie Touchton, Carrie Dell and Charlie Mobley, and Ethelene and Dee Jarvis.

Services for R.C. Sadler will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Mark Kirkland and Rev. Rick Williams officiating. The burial will follow in the Redland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
