Paul Edward Rogers, 51 of Valdosta died on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness.  Born on June 12, 1954 in Marmaduke, AR, he was the son of Richard Edward and Vera Mary Rowe Rogers.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church.  He never met a stranger.  Even though he was disabled for many years, he spent his time helping his friends any way he could.
Survivors are his wife, Althea J. Rogers of Valdosta; son, John Adam Rogers of Wrightsville; daughter, Althea Eve Taylor; sisters, Melba J. William of St. Louis County, MO; Joyce G. Harper, Bonnie, both of Mississippi; Linda Stewart, Niliene Drope both of Arkansas; brothers, David R. Rogers and Stephen W. Rogers both of Arkansas; grandchildren, Neva Mullis and Kara Mullis both of Valdosta and four other grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Eastern Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Skip Van Nus officiating.  Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery at Naylor.
