Oppie Lee Hooker, 82, of Cordele, GA passed away on April 5, 2018. She was born in Naylor, GA on January 9, 1936 to the late Gordon Bennett and Mamie Taylor Bennett.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Bobby) Rountree, of Cordele and Bernice Frank, of Donaldsonville; sister-in-law, Verlie Simpson; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Olin Franklin Hooker, Sr.; daughter, Debra June Cromer “Debbie”; and son, Olin Franklin Hooker, Jr. “Frankie”.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta, GA with Pastor James Yarbrough officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home
