Norman L. "Sonny" Mcdonald

Norman L. "Sonny" McDonald, 87, of Lake Park died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. He was born on April 14, 1929 in Lowndes County to the late Norman Chester McDonald and Susie Mae Middleton McDonald. Mr. McDonald was a retired electrician, served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II, a member of Lake Park Baptist Church and a member of the Azalea Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Sunnie Sue McDonald Walker and Steve Walker of Lake Park, two sons and daughters in law, N. Ashley and Anna McDonald of Brunswick and David L. and Christine McDonald of Lake Park, seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and one sister, Marion Hughes of Sarasota, FL. Mr. McDonald is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elsie Bacon McDonald and his brother, Mayo McDonald.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 at ten a. m. at Lake Park Cemetery with Chaplain Jimmy Jones officiating. Burial will follow. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
