Nell Parrish

August 15, 1914 — March 10, 2005

Nell Parrish, 90, of Hahira, formerly of Lakeland, GA, died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Memorial Convalescent Center in Adel. She was born on August 15, 1914 in Hahira to the late William Elhannon and Mayme Edna Turner Redding. Mrs. Parrish was a homemaker and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by two nephews, John Crowley and his wife Etta Lee of Sparks, Jim Redding and his wife Gayle of Harriet’s Bluff, GA, two nieces, Glenda Smith and her husband Billy of Middleburg, FL and Carolyn Wetherington and her husband Willie of Thornton, Colorado. Mrs. Parrish is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J. D. Parrish, one brother, Hanon (Red) Redding, three sisters, Mae Parrish, Lillian Crowley and Mamie Lee Wells.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 13, 2005 at 3:30 p. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home with Elder J. L. Rowan, Elder Tollie Lee and Elder Robert Skinner officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p. m. Saturday at the funeral home.
