Nancy Gail Mcleod

Nancy Gail McLeod, 62, of Valdosta, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on November 24, 1960 in Madison, FL, to the late Raeford and Omelia Harrell Harris. She had worked for Lowndes County Schools as a substitute teacher and secretary. Mrs. McLeod enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, boating, and working with flowers. She always encouraged her kids and grandchildren in all their activities. She was a member of the Hickory Grove United Methodist Church of Pinetta, FL.

Mrs. McLeod is survived by the love of her life and husband of 36 years, Robert Glen McLeod, of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Glen McLeod, Jr. and Katie McLeod, of Valdosta; son, Charles Trent McLeod, of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Kayleigh McLeod, John McLeod, and Ariel McLeod, all of Valdosta; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and James White, of Stockton, GA, Judy and Larry Lyons, of Morven, GA; and many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Linda and Bonnie.

Funeral services for Mrs. McLeod will be held at 10am on Thursday, June 1, 2023 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Blanton officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pinetta, FL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
