Muriel Hancock Quarterman

Muriel Hancock Quarterman, 92, of Valdosta, was born here on November 29, 1928 to the late Charles Wilbert Hancock, Sr. & Decarr Stallings Hancock. She departed this life on January 18, 2021 at Presbyterian Nursing Home in Quitman, Georgia.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Quarterman was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Clark Quarterman, brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Saralyn Hancock. She is survived by her niece Holly Hancock of Waycross, Georgia and nephew, Glenn Hancock of Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Mrs. Quarterman was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Valdosta which she joined in 1965. She retired from bookkeeping and enjoyed listening to music and dancing.
A graveside service will be held on at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta. Dr. Glenda Hollingshead will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 313 North Patterson, Valdosta, GA 31601 or The Caring Hands Fund at Presbyterian Homes of Georgia, PO Box 926, Quitman, GA 31643.
