Moree H. Coody

Moree H. Coody, 89, of Valdosta, died Friday, October 8, 2004 at home. She was born on January 12, 1915 in Lowndes County to the late Earnest and Sally Zipperer Hartline. Mrs. Coody lived most of her life in Lowndes County, joined Mt. Zion United Methodist Church at an early age and was a very active member. She was associated with Thompson Industries in Madison for twenty-one years. Mrs. Coody is preceded in death by her husband, John Ruben Coody.

Mrs. Coody is survived by three daughters and one son in law, Margaret Turner, Sally Mason, Glenda and Butch Inmon, all of Valdosta; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 11, 2004 at two p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. John McGowan and Reverend Aaron Kight officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Mt. Zion cemetery fund. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p. m.
