Michael "Scotty" Mock

April 16, 2009 — May 16, 2021

On the morning of April 16, 2009, the world became a better place with the birth of Michael “Scotty” Mock, a little man that quickly grabbed hold of the hearts of all he met. Tragedy struck on the evening of May 15, 2021 and Scotty died.
During his 12 years of life, Scotty touched all he met with a smile and if you were lucky, you would catch a glimpse of his sense of humor.
Growing up in Valdosta, Scotty traveled with his Momma to his Bubba’s and his Cousins’ Georgia Bridgemen Band Competitions. Regardless of what he was playing with, it quickly became a drum. This past week, Scotty’s dreams became a reality when he performed his first band concert and played the drums at Brooks County Middle School. He was so proud to be a Trojan and a drummer.
Throughout his life, he attended church at Central Avenue Church of Christ where at a young age, he was attending youth conferences with the big kids while his family chaperoned. He always had a love for Jesus and a love for Church. Over the last year, Scotty was attending The Porch Community Church. He loved going to SALT on Sunday evenings.
Scotty was loved by so many people. His family consisted of those that chose to be in his life and he in theirs. He never left somewhere without giving hugs and saying, “I Love You’s”. He was truly blessed by a loving family, but we were the ones that were blessed.
