Merle W. Stalvey, 82, of Hahira, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was born on May 8, 1927 in Lowndes county to the late Aaron Johnny Williams and Reba Oneal Amerson Williams. Mrs. Stalvey was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sisters, Marilyn Williams of Hahira, Virginia Corbin of Indianapolis, IN and Barbara Woolsey of Richland, MS, numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stalvey is preceded in death by her husband, I. E. "Pete" Stalvey, two brothers, Aaron Johnny Williams, Jr., James Ronald Williams and one sister, Laura Faye Williams.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at two p. m. at Friendship Cemetery with Mr. Charlie Merwin officiating. Burial will follow. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
