Mellvina Woodward

Mellvina (Mell) McCord Woodward, 74, of Valdosta, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 after a lengthy illness. She was born on September 5, 1947 in Quitman, GA, to the late Charles Aldridge and Pauline Black McCord. Ms. Woodward was a retired property manager. She worked both in Georgia and Florida managing large multi-family complexes. Most of her career was spent in Tallahassee Florida. After retirement, she returned home to Valdosta to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Park Avenue Church.
Mrs. Woodward is survived by her daughter, Susan Boone (Brett), of Valdosta; son John Barclay Woodward (Courtney), of Valdosta; grandchildren, Bennett Boone, Kate Woodward, and Meg Woodward.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Jamie Bone officiating.
