Melissa Dean Childers

Melissa Dean Childers, 47 of Valdosta passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Clearwater, FL on March 27, 1974. She was a graduate of Valdosta State University, a member of First United Methodist Church, and was currently employed as a Paraprofessional at Lowndes Middle School.
She is survived by her husband, William Paul Childers of Valdosta; her daughter, Avery Childers of Valdosta; and her parents, Terry and Delores Dean of St. Mary’s, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at Carson McLane Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 6 until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in St. Mary’s, Georgia at the Calvary Baptist Church.
