Mayo McDonald, 72, of Lake Park, died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Lakeland Villa Nursing Home in Lakeland, GA. He was born on March 6, 1933 in Lowndes County, GA to the late Norman Chester and Susie Mae Myddleton McDonald. Mr. McDonald was a retired contractor, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and was affiliated with the Valdosta Fire Department for seventeen years prior to starting his own business.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris McDonald of Lake Park, two daughters and sons in law, Elaine and Todd Biskupiak of Lake Park, Patty and Steve Lee of Valdosta, one son and daughter in law, Dennis and Shannon McDonald of Frisco, TX, seven grandchildren, Tonya Brookhouser, Christina Smith, Allison Biskupiak, Matthew Lee, Jason Lee, Megham McDonald, Nathan McDonald, four great grandchildren, Marc Brookhouser, Emily Hastings, Tyler Lee and Caton Lee, one brother, Sonny McDonald of Lake Park, one sister and brother in law, Marion and Bobby Hughes of Sarasota, FL

Memorial services will be held Friday, November 18, 2005 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Stephen and Dennis McDonald officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of South GA, P. O. Box 1727, Valdosta, GA 31603-1727.
