Matthew Nehren Kaeck

Matthew Nehren Kaeck, 30 years of age, succumbed to a lengthy, painful illness on November 24, 2015. He is survived by his immediate family consisting of his parents, Patricia Jo Nehren and Daniel J. Kaeck, and siblings, Jamie D. Yeargan, brother-in-law Jonathan Yeargan, and Kamie Jo Kaeck. His extended family consists of uncles David Kaeck, William Nehren and Tom Hinrichsen, an aunt, Jeanne Sweater, cousins Geoffrey and Dana Nehren, and especially important to Matthew were his nieces (Amaris, Jillian, Shelby and Josie) and nephew (Samuel). Matt graduated Valdosta High School and attended Valdosta State University. He was a kind, loving and generous young man who suffered for many years but bravely persevered without complaint. Although his ambitions, talents and promise were unrealized with so little time, he brought joy, laughter and happiness to those who knew and loved him. "Matthew" means "gift from God" and truly he was to his family and friends.
